A constant challenge when designing a window is finding the right number of products to put on display. Too many and it can reduce their desirability, too few and the marketing team get nervous. When this decor was due to be installed there were lots of product launches to be highlighted, hence the design had to accommodate this. My solution was to create a structure where the products were not visible in their entirety, all the time. As the design was modular it was also relatively simple to adapt it to any width of window, from 1 to 9 metres wide. The inspiration came from the different layers of materials in rock strata and used the classic Vuitton codes of the wood used to make their trunks and the colour red.
